Brood Mare Pasture

Rose lifted her head, and looked to Night. She didn't recognize the handsome, strong stallion that walked past her paddock. "Who is the new stallion?" She asked her mate, swishing her long tail. She would know who it was straight away if she could get his smell...

"Thats Thunder"Night said

Thunder whinned "Hello"

The mare's jaw dropped. She trotted up to the gate, and reached her quivering nose over the gate. Sure enough, it was her colt. She unlocked the gate, a trick of hers, and trotted over, her tail held high, and her neck arched.

Thunder kicked out at the mare and started a canter "Get away from me mare"he saud

Ally got him to do a gallop

Rose snorted, and bared her teeth at her colt. She lashed out at his fast disappearing body, then trotted in through the gate, down to the bottom fence. She held her head low to the ground, eyes sad and ears drooping.

"Im Sorry"Night said he was 34 years old now then he went to lie down then he fell asleep and never woke up again

Rose let out a loud, pained cry, as she watched her mate die. She whimpered, and lay down next to him. She rested her head over his cold head, and cried into his mane

Night was dead

Rose then closed her eyes, and held her breath until she was swallowed into blackness...

Thunder whinned

A small filly entered the paddock, unawares of the deaths around her, and called out timidly. The 2 year old was small for her age, and was extremely scared. She called out again, this time a little more frantically, and trotted towards the top fence.

Thunder looked at them and the filly and trotted to her "Hello"
